A small brown tom snuck through the trees in the forest. Where was Blackberry? Eris needed to speak with the rouge leader, he had to tell her that Tucker was finally dead. And maybe, if he was lucky the she-cat would let him give her some pointers on what to do next. Eris had a lot in mind. There were so many ways to cause confusion. It was a potential paradaise for him.

"Not good enough." Blackberry muttered to herself as her chilly yellow gaze skimmed over a sprig of berries on a bush infront of her. They were supposed to be red, not pink, like they were at the moment. "A few more nights, possibly." Suddenly, there was the tiniest of rustles in the bushes. Blackberry paid no heed and continued scanning her eyes over the foilage.

Eris growled. The one disadvantage of being so small was that no one listened to him...if they ever noticed him. "Hey! Blackberry, over here. I've got some news that I'm sure you'd be interested in knowing." He hoped he had gotten her attention. If the rouge leader did nothing than this whole scheme was hopeless.

At the sound of a voice coming from the brush, Blackberry turned her head. Her baleful eyes surveyed the area as the small she-cat turned around. Padding lightly over to the brush, she mewed quietly, "Come out; tell me this news you have."

"Finally," Eris said softly to himself. Now that he was actually being noticed, the tom didn't want Blackberry to think he was sassing her. "We-ell, I've got some news for you." He said, drawing out the e in well as long as possible, just for dramatic effect. If he wasn't so good at causing other cats trouble Eris figured he would make a good actor. His hazel eyes looked up to see if Blackberry was listening. "Anyway, Tucker's dead."

Blackberry flicked her tail to communicate acknowledgement, though her stony flint-like eyes gave away nothing. The small black and white she-cat's mind was taking this news in. "And when did this happen?" she asked quietly, her cold voice clear but calm.

Eris stopped to think for a moment. "A few days ago. He was killed by Iceheart. You know, the Iceheart. But I'm pretty sure she had some help from one of Tucker's followers. Apparantly they weren't as happy as everyone believed." The small tom's green eyes began to sparkle, this was going to be fun. His short brown tail began to wave back and forth, a telltale sign that the little cat was up to no good.

"Iceheart?" Blackberry echoed, her chilly eyes seeming to stare past Eris' shoulder. "I remember her. And you say she might've had help from a few of his own? Do you believe you have anything to gain by telling me this news?" She asked, her cool voice rising in a question.

"Nah, just felt like telling you." Eris replied, he hadn't really seen too far past informing Blackberry. Luckily for him the small tom was a quick thinker, he had to be. "I just wanted to give you something good to remember me by after you take over the forest. All you need is a few more rouges and you could easily command this place."

Blackberry narrowed her steely gaze as she looked at him, and then gave a tiny nod. "Perhaps. But I'll tell you this: I do not wish to obliterate, or even harm the Clans like Tucker did. My plan is simply for rule of both town and forest. How I am going to do that is threading its way into my mind more each day." The small she-cat said, curling her tail around her paws.

Boulder stepped through the brush and found who he was looking for, Blackberry. "Tucker's dead," he said, "Shade killed him and now.........well, not even Nightclan knows where he's run off too." He hung his head low not meeting any gazes that might be cast at him. His fur was matted and dirty from not caring about anything anymore.

At the sound of another cat, Blackberry whipped around to face him. Flicking her tail to signal that she still acknowledged Eris, she looked at Boulder "I remember you. And you say this 'Shade' has done this? Who is he? I have not heard of him. And from what I've heard-" she cast a sidelong glance to Eris, "-Iceheart killed him." The small she-cat said, her voice seeping quietly and cooly.

Boulder looked up, "Shade is his brother," he spat, "I knew he was a softy, he belonged in Nightclan and now Tucker has paid with his life for trusting him. Trust me, I let Shade kill him."

Hearing Boulder come, Eris figured that his work here was done. Fool cat He told himself before dissappearing behind the bushes. Good thing for him, the small tom was a master of getting out of sticky situations. He vanished without a trace.

Blackberry narrowed her eyes and flicked her tail. "Then we have one liar here." she murmured more to herself than anyone. As she heard Eris slip away, she turned her head to see the bushes rustle and stop as the tom dissapeared. Turning back to Boulder, she said, "Tell me more. I'd like details."
